As I said, the gameplay point is moot. I'll retract that the gameplay is bad. In my opinion, it is bad. Ok?

I stand by the rest of my argument.

And yes I have played it. I played it for half an hour at a friends house, and failed to have fun. I then grabbed the demo, and I got through 2 levels before realising that I find 'painting by numbers' to be more fun. Throughout the demo, I started to look closely at the graphics. I find Doom fun, I find Serious Sam fun. They're not deep, but they're just so OTT that they become fun. Doom3 is incredibly simple, and takes itself seriously, that I do not like.

DoomIII looks awesome, but it wont do a European city as good as Source does.

Source looks awesome, but it wont do a sci-fi horror corridor shooter as good as DoomIII does.

DoomIII was fun, if you like corridor horror shooters, like HL1.

HL2 isn't out yet but trying to take out a Strider looks like loads of fun.

Wadda you say, should we start comparing Band of brotherens with Vampire: Blood wines next?

Clearly they are so vintage now that DoomIII is out, cause grphx is everything!

I think the doom3 gameplay is medium.

Doom1 and 2 had better, cuz the rooms were giant and there were hundreds of enemies u could mow down.

Doom3 is all tight corridors and theres no long range or even medium range combat which kinda ruins it for me
