by looking at the first picture i could swear the m1 is from desert combat, but i could easily be wrong, as you'd expect all m1 models to look similar

Are you guys sure he ripped them? There are million places to download source models and maybe he just downloaded them without knowing they're ripped...

I met someone who used that excuse about using someone else's texture on his model. He said a friend sent it to him and told him to use it - but that doesn't explain the lack of credit. He should've at least credited the site he got them from.

Hi and happy new year everybody!

This post is to throw light on the mysterious origin of the military models.

I downloaded them from a link of another mapping-site, months ago, so they were for a long time on my harddisk.

Because of the current discussion about the models i googled for them again.

The models are ported from desert combat and available as a download-package for free.

Anyway i've forgotten to give the richly deserved credits for it.

So i have to thank Illikid for these ported models from desert combat and american army.

They were made by LIL KID - should help you find it (there's a flat plane inside the HMMWV with "Americas Army port by LIL KID" written on it)
