Previously, before my hard drive died after summer I used XSI Mod Tool to create models then convert them to MD3 using Milkshape for use in my Duke3D projects. However I dont have the latter no more and don't feel like using it anymore (trial won't last long / not worth paying for / hate crack sites...)

So ofcourse I need to find other means to convert my models to an MD3 format, yet it doesn't seem there's a plugin for XSI Mod Tool to do so. However if there is, please link me! But I do know (and have) Blender has a plugin to convert to this format.

However, since I don't have either installed I'm wondering if XSI can save into a format Blender can open so I can convert to MD3. The reason I ask is because I love the interface, controls and UV Mapping area of XSI over any other program I have used. More comfortable to make stuff in.

However, if there isn't a way then I'll have to learn to use Blender. It's installed at my school for some reason and I took a gander into it. I can make a mesh, move points and all the stuff I need to create objects, however I hate the way to do things in it and I really dislike the UV mapping area of it.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Forget that, Blender is pretty much similar and I've gotten used to the UV Mapprer now. But now i need to get some MD3 exporter to work. The one I found is called md3-plagman and when I convert the model to MD3 it says an error caused and check console... where's the console?
