Term Posted December 22, 2006 Report Posted December 22, 2006 Hi guys and thanks for all the positive feedback. It's especially nice to see your work being welcomed by the many professionals hanging out here. I didn't find much time to check Mapcore for the past years, so I'm glad I could even retrieve my account info Quakis, the "sliding" bug you're talking about, could you give me some more info on that? The reason is, I experience it myself since I upgraded (!) my vid card late in the development process. None of the testers encountered any problems, though, so I thought it was a problem on my end. What kind of engine update did you say introduced this bug? I'd like to include some info about that in the upcoming FAQs on our website. Quote
Campaignjunkie Posted December 22, 2006 Report Posted December 22, 2006 Quite good, though the laptop / keypad gameplay got a little stale after a while. There were some very nice setpieces though, my favorite being the low gravity reactor. I'll probably write up a review on Ten Four for it. Quote

What kind of engine update did you say introduced this bug? I'd like to include some info about that in the upcoming FAQs on our website. It was that Half Life Engine update back in October. It happens to all goldsource games where the keyboard and mouse would stick and "lag" But I searched the steam forums and a temp-fix is to set the hl.exe processes to low priority. Either way I completed the mod and will hopefully review it on TAW sometime soon. Quote
hamst3r Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Amazing stuff. Loved the original, and loved this one just as much. Great use of textures and brushwork, made me say wow a couple of times. Good enough to play again some time. Greart work. Quote
st0lve Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Probably something wrong with my new gfx card (as in too new?), since tons of sprites for me turn up with a black outline. Quote
MJ Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 + best textures and lighting seen in HL + nice puzzles + great designs/details + great prop placements + added music / voice - AI dumb - keycard idea is old by now - didn't like how it ended - silence during credits (no music) - short i give it 7/10 bring this to source already! Pericolos0 Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 whoaaaaaaaaaa how did this release slip by me?? /downloads Quote
PhilipK Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 Just played a little bit now but the visuals and overall quality feel is very impressive. Can't believe it's actually HL1 sometimes. Quote

Uhhh.. it should be the same music as the intro? I agree with you on the other points too, I thought the ending was rather lame Quote
MJ Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 hmm it was silent for me during the credits.. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 I thought the ending was great, didnt expect it . I had music there.. dj shadow with some crazy guitar bits in it, i liked it and the music resides in my winamp playlist now! Amazing mod overall, it had both the nice hl nostalgia feel while still feeling new and modern. Very inspirational stuuf, I want to make a little singleplayer mod too now Quote
