D3ads Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 http://www.poke646.com/ Who saw this one coming? Not I, that's for sure. I seriously cannot wait for this to be released, Poke646 was easily one of the best HL mods to be made. Hello community, on December 21, 2006, our award-winning and critically acclaimed Half-Life® singleplayer modification "Poke646" turns five. Needless to say that our team is still proud on our achievement, how well the game aged throughout the years and how much the fans still seem to love it. However, since we don't expect any birthday presents, we thought it would be a much better idea to celebrate the 5th "Poke646" anniversary by giving the fans a present instead! So without further ado we present "Poke646: Vendetta", a whole new singleplayer episode developed on Valve's HL1 engine, scheduled for a worldwide release on December 21, 2006. Originally planned but also put on hold in 2002, the project was revived in August 2006. Since then we've been working like crazy on new maps, models, sounds and weapons to continue the adventures of Damien Reeves and bring them to a thrilling end. Some features: * 14 new singleplayer maps, continuing the original storyline and letting Damien Reeves take the revenge he was seeking at the end of "Poke646". * 3 action-packed chapters take you to many new locations (such as a giant space station or secret Poke646 research labs in the outskirts of Nation City) and even let you revisit some spots from the original "Poke646". * The futuristic PAR-21 assault rifle, equipped with a grenade launcher, adds more firepower to Damien's already deadly weapons arsenal. * Tons of new textures, models and sounds create a unique and convincing game world, waiting to be explored. * A brand new soundtrack enhances the atmosphere and underlines each chapter's mood. I don't want to hear any complaints such as 'lame itz not sauce lolz' because otherwise you're a raving faggot. Quote
Mazy Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Quite impressive for something on HL1. You sure your computer can run this D3? (jk <3 ) Quote

Sa74n Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Hmm never even heard of might check it out if its so awesome lol what are you doing on mapcore then? poke646 is the best singleplayer mod for hl1 and might only be beaten by its successor. Quote

KoKo5oVaR Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 holy shit, cool!! a new poke646, i enjoyed it a whole lot back then to me that was definatly the best solo mod of HL1 Quote
Quakis Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Old engines still rock, and glad to see the HL1 engine still being developed on. Goes to show what can be done without the latest tech. Looking forward to it's release too, but this keyboard and mouse issue the last HL engine update caused (less than two months ago) will make it less enjoyable to play... Quote
hamst3r Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 I'm downloading the original just to play through it again and get ready for this. Looks amazing. Can't wait. Quote
Izuno Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 One more post and D3 becomes 1337. Quote
