Squirrelly Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 For those of you who don't know, Child's Play, the charity delivering games, books, and toys to sick kids during the Christmas season, just got going. This is an amazing charity, and as such it also happens to be a tax benefit (in case you're on the fence). You can donate in multiple ways. The most common method on these forums is actually direct PayPal donations, but purchasing and delivering a gift from the individual hospital wish lists is strongly encouraged Anyway, I was curious if we could setup some sort of MapCore community donation tracker, and perhaps hit a certain goal each week. I realize we aren't the richest bunch of folks out there, but any spare change you guys have will definitely help the cause. So, is anyone interested? Quote
Grinwhrl Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 I wish they came up with a better name for it... but as soon as I land a job in the industry I really would like to donate to this, and get fellow gamers/ dev's to donate... Lets get Vancouver on the map!!! Quote
ReNo Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 I'm planning to donate this year, but it's gonna have to wait until my next pay cheque arrives Quote
⌐■_■ Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 yeah, i might join in too. like everybody i have to wait till next month when my collegemoney arrives and i get my mcdonalds paycheque Quote
st0lve Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Yeah I've seen things like this on a Norwegian forum some time ago, they managed to get more than 25 consoles, 15 handheld consoles, 100+ games and lots of money (something like 5000£) for a single hospital. I haven't got any money at all, but if there are things that I can do here at home I'd be more than happy to help. Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 since i work now i have money so maybe ill donate some, paypal rejected my bank account yesterday though :\ Quote
Cybbe Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 Why does Child's Play remind me of murderous dolls ? Quote
