Dodger Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Hi. I just want to know if Hammer Editor can do different possibilities with sound engineering. The first thing that I want to know is that is it possible to bind 2 ambient generics and transform them into one entity? Why is it needed? Because for example if you have one room with 2 speakers and you need that the sound is going out of the both speakers instead of one speaker/entity. Having 2 ambient generics nearby the 2 speakers will do alotmore then using only one placing in the center between them. Another question regarding sound Is it possibly on some way to minimize the sound range area? When I for example once went outside the door of the room the sound still played even if it was like far away. What you say?
Skybex Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 You should probably read up on soundscapes http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Env_soundscape
Skjalg Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 yes you can change the range, no you cant divide up a .wav file to play just the part you want without using a editing tool outside hammer.
