Pericolos0 Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 your orc = ET??? pretty cool though , but it's obvious you did not use zbrush or the like to model this Quote
von*ferret Posted October 18, 2006 Author Report Posted October 18, 2006 polygonal modeling into a sculptural program is the way I like. Either way, bump ect is later. Zbrush is a tool, not the rule. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 Thats true, but for a face with this kind of detail it should be the tool of choice imo Quote
von*ferret Posted October 18, 2006 Author Report Posted October 18, 2006 I'd prefer to model it properly for animation, insert it into zbrush, sculpt more details, throw it back into max for proper application. Quote
Spellbinder Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 Thats awsome! But something makes it look to friendly? Also even do it has all those wrinkles in the face it looks so smooth. Maybe more smaller wrinkles? Like tiny ones? Quote
von*ferret Posted October 18, 2006 Author Report Posted October 18, 2006 tiny wrinkles will be displaced or bumped. Quote
jaboo224 Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 give him really spiky teath that are gross and he will look scary ! nice work so far Quote
von*ferret Posted October 18, 2006 Author Report Posted October 18, 2006 probably not gonna rig this or open his mouth, otherwise they'd be all cracked and vicious looking Quote
Nazul Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 nice nice , i kinda see him as a (nooby) slave of some powerfull bad guy and can't do anything right ofcourse .. Super cool! Quote
Grinwhrl Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 Thats starting to look really cool. Quote
dux Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 What an ugly looking mother fucker. I think he could do with a few more piercings myself. Other than that great ugly head. Quote
von*ferret Posted October 18, 2006 Author Report Posted October 18, 2006 WOrked on the sub surface. You can see the light coming through the ears now. I have no color work done on the skin material at the moment. I just started painting the bump map. After I finish the bump Ill start painting the skin and details over that such stuff. I'm thinking of doing a simple rig for the neck and head, and restrictions o nthe eye rotation so that I can do a short animation. Nothing fancy just to give it some life. Critique welcome! Quote
