Sindwiller Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 I hope they changed their fucked up ethernet ports and their SATA-controler. But anyway: 3 PCI-E slots, woohoo! Quote
ReNo Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 Three is nothing, check out this quad PCI-E 16x motherboard from Asus... http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3 ... odelmenu=1 Not as well spaced as they seem to be on that on you posted however, so probably only gonna fit single slot graphics cards. PhilipK Posted October 14, 2006 Report Posted October 14, 2006 How the hell do you even fit 4 cards there? Seems the cards must be very flat then (and afaik the new cards are always pretty damn fat ) but I'm not too into hardware so I wouldn't know really. Quote
dissonance Posted October 14, 2006 Author Report Posted October 14, 2006 yeah, how would you fit the cards in there? Quote
NykO18 Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 There's not really 4 cards on these 4 slots. In fact, there's 2 sets of 2 cards, and these cards are somewhat thinner that the original ones. http://www.matbe.com/images/biblio/ces_ ... 026046.jpg Quote
ReNo Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 I read a review of the 4-slot motherboard, and they did manage to get 4 cards in there. Means you could set it up with 8 monitors if you wanted Quote

I have this card also. It's like having 7900 SLI'd on one video card with 1 gig of video memory. Basically, it's fraking stoopid. In a good way. Quote
