MrH2o Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 I'm so damn tired of hearing the "jet engine" starts everytime I've play DOD, Far Cry, Half-Life or any other game that needs my gfx card to work alittle extra. Do any of you have experience of water cooling? or are there any super silent fan that works (altho I doubth it) beacuse i rather pay alittle extra then getting a headache everytime i play games :/ Quote
PhilipK Posted September 26, 2006 Report Posted September 26, 2006 Solution: Closed headphones ;o About cooling, sorry can't help you there. Quote

skdr Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 get passive cooling. ftw i had passive on my GF 7600GS. 125°C after 20 minutes of play. passive cooling = sucky sucky! Haha. I have passive cooling, 40°C idle and 60-70°C in stress (games etc). All it needs is a WORKING case cooling, nothing else. Quote
Zacker Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 Get some kind of fan/overclocking control application. I do personally use ASUS smartdoctor to adjust my clock settings and fans on my gfx card. It's a little buggy, but most of it work. Quote
Ginger Lord Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 nVidia have a utility where you can set the fan speed, I usually have mine at 30-40% for 2D and 60% for 3D. It also goes faster when it reachs certain temps as a safety. Quote
Zacker Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 Could I please have a link to the most recent one? I have used nTune or whatever Nvidias one was called, in the past, but afaik they are not developing on it anymore. Quote
