SKULLHOZER
Hey. Well, I got all three editors running, finally! I had to disable SMP (WTF is that BTW?) Here's how my shortcuts look: "C:\...\Quake4.exe" +set r_fullscreen 0 +editor +com_allowconsole 1 +set r_brightness 1 +set r_multisamples 0 +set r_useSMP 0 Okay, now, I create a room, pop in a light and player start. Next, I hit F3 to render the cam/view... B L A M ! ! Nothing. Just a black viewport. I'm guessing that the lights don't "render." What do I do? Any help would truly be apriciated. insta
Actually you're supposed to press F7. F3 is the key to revert back to normal mode

KungFuSquirrel
Yeah, F3 just toggles whether you're in camera or rendered mode. F7 refreshes the scene and updates with your changes. models sort of update in real-time, though, as do lights. If you really want to see everything as it happens, hit f4 to turn on realtime mode - you'll take a slight bit of a performance hit, but you can drag and move brushes and see it immediately. Not all that useful, though. Easy enough to just refresh when you need it.

Section_Ei8ht
^^ Careful, ferret. Once you peer into the spoils of the Doom 3 engine, you might never go back.
