von*ferret Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 good thing thats a 512x512 texture or you might lose some quality when you squish it to 256x256 Quote
st0lve Posted July 25, 2004 Author Report Posted July 25, 2004 Is this brick ok: And some snacks: Yeah I know that I just scaled it down to 128x128 but I'm to lazy to make an new walltexture brick by brick D: And yes, the shadow on the gate is a little harsh ~ Quote
FrieChamp Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 You should bring more variety into the brick texture. One can see that you just copy/pasted one small part each line. Quote
zaphod Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 gotta be honest, your brick still sucks becuase it repeats so much. Quote
Mazy Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 yup, that thing is gonna tile like hell way too much repeating n patterning going on :G Quote
st0lve Posted July 26, 2004 Author Report Posted July 26, 2004 Yeah I noticed it now, I got to fix it some time Quote
Crackerjack Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 very nice.. I really need to learn to texture EEK! Quote
Minos Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 That bricks does the same work of a 32x texture negroroea ~~ Quote
Mazy Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 the point of having a higher res texture is that you get more detail just taking a 128x128 texture and quadrubling it doesnt make it more detailed ~ /me flipflops out of existence~ Quote
st0lve Posted August 1, 2004 Author Report Posted August 1, 2004 My over repeating texture have been fix'd Check the updated version above (I just repleaced them on the ftp ) Quote
Skjalg Posted August 1, 2004 Report Posted August 1, 2004 st0lve, if you look closely on that texture, in the exact middle it seems like theres this black line (top->bottom). It doesnt look too good.. Besides, when making a brick wall like that, who divides alot of the bricks into two pieces, just for the fun of it? Making a seemless transition, thats the hard part of a brick texture... Quote

Minos Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 looking better negrore, but it still lacks the 'ummpf' D:~~ Try to make some bricks on different colors, not so different though, cuz this would kill the tiling of the texture. Quote
