tfg Posted July 19, 2004 Report Posted July 19, 2004 Hi Folks -- The G.Worx Pictures group is recruiting Half-Life 2 mappers and modelers as we move closer to the production date of our HL2-engine machinima film. These kinds of films are called machinima (http://www.machinima.org). G.Worx has a proven track record with 3 machinima award nominations at the international machinima film festival, and has been together for over 2 years. We welcome people with a genuine love for gaming, solid commications skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. Our previous creations include the popular counter-strike film, Militia II (mapped by Mojo) and Pandoras Box II, not to mention our NPR (non photorealistic rendering) technology demo for Half-Life 1. Mappers/modellers often enjoy working on machinima films because it shifts the importance away from gameplay and moreso toward visual style. You will learn to push the engine to its extreme limit in persuit of the best look. As a result, your maps/models look much nicer than with traditional mod projects because you don't need to worry about any cpu-taxing side effects. Please send any relevant artwork, comments, questions to danielf_nospam@gworxpictures.com (remove the "_nospam") For more info about our group, visit our website - http://www.gworxpictures.com, or visit our irc channel - #gworxpictures on gamesurge
FrieChamp Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Quoted from Planethalflife: Are you a Half-Life Mapper ready and excited to get into Half-Life 2 Mapping? Want to get into the machinima (making movies using game engines) area of games? Then you might try out for a new one being created by the same guys who brought you Militia II. Quoted from the Mapcore Forums: "The G.Worx Pictures group is recruiting Half-Life 2 mappers and modelers as we move closer to the production date of our HL2-engine machinima film. Mojo Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 I would love to work again with TFG, but alas working being what it is I probably would only be able to put in time on the weekends, I shall send off an email though.

Ewok Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 And you have my hand I've already offered my services where possible a while back in an email. But if you need further assistance, I will gladly help if wanted. I can't say I have enough time to be a full time mapper now, but I could definitely cook up something in my spare time. - Ewok
NotDuffy Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 sure why not....i need to do something productive...believe it or not duffy can map!
Ewok Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 I choose not to believe Duffy isn't talented at anything. Except being a tard. - Ewok
