All the 1000 cars are from 1000 different replays arranged to one video with some skilled video editing.

Actually Gin, that's how it was done. It's a thousand replays from the Trackmania community merged into a single video, or so says Fun-Motion.

Of course it's a thousand replays combined into one run. skdr's post makes it sound like a thousand replays, recorded, individually brought into video editing software and rotoscoped together into one video. Which is ridiculous but maybe I just heard him wrong
