128 tris is NOT too low

PSP and DS games work most with these settings

Why the heck would you want to work like that? :???:

It forces you to work on fundamentals and problem solving because you can't just use excessive polys are a crutch. It's the same sort of theory that is used to teach painting, architecture, fashion design, etc.

I'm working on the skin, but 128 x 128 pixel for it is relay low.... :shock:

Well, it is but it is funny because you cant do much wrong when you have low resolutions :roll:

Since the DS does noet support stuff higher than 64x64

and the PSP can take 256x256 maximum but most textures get resized to either 128x128 or 64x64

And this is a good oppertunity to test your true artistskills with such harsh restrictions.

I have witnessed the development of a psp game and its definately cool to work with these restrictions

You could make better use of the texture space you have there. There is a whole ton of white around those parts.

For example you can make 5 buildings for a faction from a RTS game of choice...

so just out of curiosity, does that mean, i could take some rts game and remodel and retexture the buildings near to a "copy" of the original building. i mean, im not talking abou ripping it out of the game, but just recreating the entire building from scratch. that would be allowed ?

just wanted to make that sure :)
