This month we are going back to something inorganic though: RTS BUILDINGS! The limitations this month will be very strict, but to make up for that you are allowed to sumbit as many buildings as you want, aslong as they fit together in a nice set. For example you can make 5 buildings for a faction from a RTS game of choice. Or you could design buildings yourself for an imaginary faction. Make as much stuff as you want, however keep in mind that with the voting, quality counts over quantity! The limitations for each building are a maximum of 128 triangles and a maximum of 128*128 pixels for the texture. alpha, normal and specular is allowed but not required. This may seem really small but keep in mind the building will also be very small on screen too. You can also paint a ground decal that is used to make you buildings blend with the environment.. this is done in most rts games , so i though it would be cool to allow this too. The decal texture can be up to 128x128 pixels. to sum it up, each building must not exceed the following spec: 128 triangles 128*128 texture 128*128 ground decal For submissions, make a final render with your entire set displayed on it. Keep the render simple, like how they would appear in a game ( so no soft shadows or ambient occlusion). good luck everyone! The contest will end at september 25 Quote
