General Vivi Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 I have seen this done in xsi and in maya by hessi . Does anyone know how to export hammer stuff into 3ds max? would make my life so much easier. thanks in advance - teh vivi Quote
hessi Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 hammer: file -> export to DXF 3d max file -> import -> dxf and you are done actually i see that this 3dmax DXF plugin is kinda slow. maybe you should turn off all those features like welding/merging and smoothing stuff Quote
Defrag Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Be careful with some of the settings & welding, or you can sometimes affect the dimensions of the imported geometry. When you're trying to make your prop seamless with the map bsp geometry, it's just something to be aware of. Quote
General Vivi Posted August 16, 2006 Author Report Posted August 16, 2006 are you fucking serious?!?!? dude ... thanks. Quote
alexroyce Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 Also, the imported dxf model will have tons of excess faces so make sure to get rid of those. Quote
General Vivi Posted August 17, 2006 Author Report Posted August 17, 2006 sure thing . thanks alex Quote
