Squirrelly Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 So a while back I made a complete set of animated water textures for Half-Life 2, but over a period of time I could never find out how to actually implement them into Source. Well, thanks to some useful tutorials I finally completed a water Shader for Source. Please remember: this is just a test so I know the water looks fugly as hell. I just wanted to see if it was actually possible to replace the water and it properly reflect the environment. The next phase is making it pretty, and then finally releasing it. Squirrelly Posted August 13, 2006 Author Report Posted August 13, 2006 So, I figured out why its so bumpy. For water, it takes a very, very subtle normal map otherwise it looks like rough seas. Also, remember that this is actually animated and it moves properly. :wink: Quote
