PhilipK Posted July 13, 2004 Author Report Posted July 13, 2004 ah, no craz, this is just ONE map. The other two are so far from done yet :\ Quote
Mazy Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 looking good blaz~~~ 1 thing tho, the outside shadows look a tad extreme, i'd pitch em up a noch to make it look less shadowy donno if ur going for a shadowy look tho :G~ Quote
-Stratesiz- Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 It looks very nice but the overall look is very greyish. The textures are good but they lack contrast. They need stronger colors, more saturation. Here is what I mean. After a super color boost ...it will feel more natural, look more vibrant and interesting. Don't be afraid to use more color ~~ Quote
FrieChamp Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Yup, I also think it looks a little too grey and boring right now, at least compared to your previous maps. On the other hand it's still in an early stage, a more colourful lighting would definately improve the atmosphere a lot. Still looking pretty good, it reminds me of the map you were working on with Marcos, what ever happened to that one? Quote
Minos Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 looks good blaz, but that roof in the bottom-right looks xtremely weird ~~ (this shot: http://blaz.csbanana.com/de_light2.jpg) Quote
von*ferret Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 its all 90 degrees. If you took like at least one building and rotated it 45 degrees the atmosphere would improve 10fold. More color and less harsh shadows would also improve your overall look. The textures seem to match where you're going with it so nice job. Quote
Crackerjack Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Very nice, but I deff agree with Stratty. Thats all for now Quote
PhilipK Posted July 14, 2004 Author Report Posted July 14, 2004 lighting better now? Im gonna lower the gamma tho, the shadows are very intense now. Quote
Minos Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 ya but the shadows look really sweet as they are now imo, I wouldnt change it Quote
