Ginger Lord Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 More importantly than these guitars, I spy Ocarina of Time poking in the edge of one of the photos. Quote

kleinluka Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 oops. wrong pic. No, 6 strings... the ibanez pic i posted is a different model (very similar in looks), I'll post a pic of MY electric when i get home... I don't really like it tho... planning to exchange it for a hollow-body epiphone soon. Quote
kleinluka Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 gonna try and get one like this soonish: Quote
Ginger Lord Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 My dad has a Gibson like that kicking around from the 70's that he still plays. Got a few Gibsons actually. Quote
kleinluka Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 shit, nice. they must sound great if they are that old. I've seen some Gibsons from the 60s go out for $60 000 on ebay. Quote

I have a 1981 Gibson ES-335TD. It's the sweetest guitar I've ever played. Looks very similar to the picture you posted, though it has a really dark cherry finish and almost looks black from a distance. Quote
Minos Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 Damn, those hollow-bodies own! Have you tried going to pawn shops klein ? They sometimes have really sweet guitars for very low prices. Too bad there aren't any in my town Ops, found another handy site http://www.chordfind.com/ Quote
log Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 I've had this baby for quite some time now, it's a Peavey Raptor Special, and it's got a nice slim neck, whilst still retaining evenly spaced strings. It's sturdy as hell and cheap as well, a good guitar. As far as learning how to play it goes, I would've recommended http://mxtabs.net or http://olga.net, but they seem to have been pwnd by the RIAA :\ Quote
Minos Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Holy shit, have you guys ever heard of guitarpro ? It's sooo useful! You can load a tab on it and it'll play the song for you and stuff. Really useful for beginners. It even has some tools to help you tune your guitar, but I haven't find out how to properly use this feature yet. Anyways, the site is: http://www.guitar-pro.com/ Good stuff (I just learned Go with the flow (qotsa) with that program ) Quote
kleinluka Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 So I bought a new guitar today... Epiphone Riviera... Sounds AWESOME and looks great..but.. something is fucked up with two strings on two frets... and when i unplugged the cable of my amp from the guitar just now the little ring came right off and something else dropped into the guitar (it's a hollow body guitar) and is now rolling around in there so i cant plug in the amp anymore. Anyone ever have this problem before? :/ this is the piece before it came off: whole guitar: Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 can't you get it out of those fancy curvey holes or are those not holes? Quote
kleinluka Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 I tried but it seems like there is a "wall" inside the guitar between the fancy holes and the place where you plug in the amp...i cant see it.. Quote
