Snarks should replace the gravity gun imo. Snarks are incredible fun to use while the gravity gun is more bleh.

I had a lot more fun with the gravity gun, for me the snarks were kinda bleh since you just let them go and that was pretty much it. But to each his own I guess.

Also I have no idea why the turtle sheild is even in there, or the sword from Halo which is easily bested by the pressure hammer thingy from UT

I'm suprized there is no rocket launcher, it's mentioned several times but doesn't actually appear. I'd think it would be obligatory.

I don't remember the name of it, but the weapon in Unreal which has a projectile and an instant beam attack which you could combo together rocked. The nukes in that Strangelove mod are far too obscure, but were equally awesome.

These are mainly the weapons that make you say "oooh, I felt that" or make additional sound effects when you use them, for which the gravity gun is obviously the best and the Railgun should definately feature in there.

I'd say the Remote Mines in Goldeneye were better than the Perfect Dark Turret thingy for innovation, though I doubt they were the first to use it. Perfect Dark also had that homing gun that could automatical target and shoot through walls, which was a contender for the list of worst weapons.

I really liked the wrench because it felt heavy, and you really liked clobbering someone with it.

The Halo sword is the most despicably cheap weapon in any game, ever. It doesn't belong in a Top 100 list, never mind Top 10.

I don't understand why it features at all. It's like they wanted to throw in a melee weapon outside of the Chainsaw and it's hard to do melee well in FPS. But this isn't restricted to genre because Mario Kart and "Shoot 'Em Ups" are in it, and there are much more things to slash people to bits with in third person action games, RPG's, etc.
