Destrado Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 im starting to get into HL2 Source SDK, I want to model myself but im not sure how to create my face texture where it is all spread out and flat? is there a tut for this somewhere? what tools do i need? Quote
sensee Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Put your head on a scanner. Turn your head slowly (same speed as the lamp) from one ear to the other, in order to get that "spread head" effect. No seriously, the "tool" you need for this is Photoshop. And you will need a lot of time to master that program before you can make something complicated like a face texture. Quote
hessi Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 1. always when someone calls texturing "skinning" i loose 100 hairs and my teeth want to explode! skinning is NOT texturing!!!!!!1one 2. if you want to use phototextures you need at least 5 photos: front half portrait side half back back the half portrait helps you to get rid of texture seems on the cheeks i made some images for you showing roughly how i made my selfportrait head texture: http://www.thomashess.net/face_texture.jpg Quote
