Meotwister Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Ah thats great , all the details make the different^^, it weaked you have put this in the map you mean it weakened his map puttin this in? if so, I disagree it looks great man. would something like this have a porch or deck around the entrance instead of sittin on the dirt like this? idk, but it looks good man. R_Yell Posted October 7, 2006 Author Report Posted October 7, 2006 Maybe this is a misunderstood building, an ugly duck , but I like its "uglyness". This is the original: Quote
Meotwister Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 cant tell if it has a porch or not! Quote
R_Yell Posted October 7, 2006 Author Report Posted October 7, 2006 I could show you a closer shot, but it has no porch believe me Probaly I'll make some minor changes. I pasted both stairs and forgot to change the shape and color, they do not fit well now. Quote
R_Yell Posted October 15, 2006 Author Report Posted October 15, 2006 Here's the new 3dskybox Do you like the texture? Maybe too brown? That's something that might be rebuilt. Quote
NykO18 Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 Waw, those rocks are beautiful. Is it a lightning effect with displacements or a texture with fake shadows ? Quote
hessi Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 this maps gets more and more amazing Quote
R_Yell Posted October 15, 2006 Author Report Posted October 15, 2006 That's 2 models with normal map. I think it looks better than backing up the precomputed shadow in the model texture, also gives more freedom because you can place the model in different places, so it's reusable. Was made from real terrain data, reworked in world machine. I chose a real place called Flagstone (NM), which was a town name in a Leone's movie, but it was filmed in Spain Quote
Grinwhrl Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 very nice. So is there going to be a boundary? Invisible wall Im guessing? Quote
R_Yell Posted October 15, 2006 Author Report Posted October 15, 2006 There is going to be small slopes on some parts, buildings or fences on other places. I'll try to avoid invisible walls as a way to seal the walkable area. Quote
