I hope you'll like it DOWNLOAD (5,26 MB) Background: Late October 1942: The debacles in Crimea and Kharkov and the loss of Voronezh and Donbass drove Soviet forces into a strategic retreat down to the foothills of the Caucasus. To the Germans it was the main strategic objective. In the Caucasian direction operated the Army Group A, reinforced with the 4th Armoured Army. On 10 August the Germans seized Maikop, and on the next day they took Krasnodar. Despite the hardening defence they undertook further operations aiming at Grozny and Baku. On 25 October fell Nalchik, after which unfolded the fights for Ordzhonikidze (Vladikavkaz). The Germans could already see the Caucasian summits, but in their way was still the Soviet 18th Army, defending Ordzhonikidze and surrounding area at all costs. Screenshots: Quote
von*ferret Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 that is a LOT better than your previous map. It lacks the walls of cornering that your other map had that made it so unbelievable. The contrasting orange lighting just makes it look eery imo. What light value did you use for the sky? It was really well done and put together. Congrats on a sucess! Quote

Insta: Yea the name is tough, but the RO geeks want "historical accuracy", realistic atmosphere etc. so a real name helps (that area is in Russia you know) Zappy: Plz, coronas (glow sprites) are your friend.
