D3ads Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 Post screenshots/videos of fun you've had recently with your games. This rather odd glich appeared in F.E.A.R. the other day: Then there was the case of the incredible spinning desklamp: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v221/ ... ampwtf.flv It's a bit dark, so just adjust your media player settings a bit, I can't get it any brighter without making the filesize stupidly big Quote
TomWithTheWeather Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 Looks like the pyhsics freaked out. I've seen it happen in HL2, among other ragdoll games. I like how it made a lot of blood though. Quote
D3ads Posted June 1, 2006 Author Report Posted June 1, 2006 I lolled so much when that happened, luckily FRAPs was running so I could just hit the record hotkey Uhhh... this is gonna sound odd but when you shoot someone in F.E.A.R. does it leave a bulletwound on them? It doesn't seem to for me even though I have model decals enabled. The arch00 file clearly has bulletwound decals.. Quote
D3ads Posted June 1, 2006 Author Report Posted June 1, 2006 a physics bug. hahahaha so funny  Was there any need to post that? No, so fuck off. I'm not German the last time I looked I mean if I shoot someone blood appears on the walls and the painskins are there if you mutilate someone but no bulletwounds, I was wondering if it was just something that never got implemented, although I notice they're there in the Extraction Point media... Taylor Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 I admit up front this is very geeky, but this was the most fun I've had in WoW for a long time. Nothing went wrong with the game, but our band of sad bastards met the current hardest boss in the game, who as some of you might know is called C'Thun and is an Old God (Call of Cthulhu references abound). But none of that matters, what matters is he first appears as a giant eye -- and this eye fires eye beams. He also spawns tentacles and mini-tentacles with eyes on them that also have eye beams. EYE BEAMS. And whats cool about eye beams, apart from them being frikkin eye beams, is that when they hit someone they will bounce to nearby players doing double damage. Not double as in 2,500, 5,000, 7,500, 10,000, 12,500, etc. But 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 40,000, etc. Consider this: There's forty people in a raid. There is only one entrance into C'Thuns chamber. This entrance is quite small. He uses his eye beam every 3 seconds. What happens when one person accidently steps into C'Thuns agro radius while the other thirty nine stand on top of each other talking about the encounter? The most damage I've previously taken was 10,000 from Broodlord, and that could've killed me twice. It's just numbers, it's just a boss, and they're just eye beams; but I really like this encounter. Hopefully we'll, y'know, get him to phase 2 next time. So he can start eating people as well. Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 does the 1 nature damage for the top players mean that the damage went into the tens of millions? Quote
JAL Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 The following 2 pics may have been the most fun I've had in a game. The game is Planetside, it's a mmofps and prolly one of my top5 games of all time. Here's the story behind the pictures: I'm leading a squad as a New Conglomerate heavy MAX unit. My squad is part of a large platoon trying to hold a base. Our base is constantly being attacked by the forces of a nearby Vanu Sovereignty tower. All in all there are around 100 people participating in the battle. So as the battle went on, we realized we couldn't defeat the Vanu forces by defending. The Vanu were sending more and more reinforcements at us. Our platoon leader made a plan to attack the enemy tower. He called on all friendly MAX units on the island to gather in our base lobby and prepare to assault the enemy tower. After having gathered around ~25 MAX units we assaulted the enemy tower and captured it. Pic 1. We're gathering MAX armored units into our base lobby. Pic 2. The assault on the enemy tower (you can see the tower antenna on the hill) PS. Planetside is awesome, I recommend it to everyone Quote
Taylor Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 does the 1 nature damage for the top players mean that the damage went into the tens of millions? I think it means they fully resisted, but the game goes funny when dealing with numbers that high. One guy took 1, but resisted 19million, for example - and you can only resist 0, 25, 50, 75 or 100 ("resisted") percent. But resist or not, he's going to do it again in 3 seconds. I died first in the log, but that's because this is instant and the game knows that I died a fraction of a second before the server tells me everyone else did too. At least I think that's why, regardless I wasn't the muppet who started the chain reaction. Quote
RD Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 that is exactly what i imagine god to look like Tay. Quote
