Ginger Lord Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 The Wii will cost 25,000 yen or lower in Japan and $250 (£133) or less in the US, said Nintendo as it revealed its financial results. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/5016838.stm Woo! Quote
ReNo Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Will probably be £150 in the UK then I'd wager, since it's very rarely accurate to the exchange rate. £150 is damn good though - I was thinking it would probably be a £199 rather than £150 so I'm happy with the news Quote
Nysuatro Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 I love the price. I am going to take one. But now i have heard there are some problems with the Wii. if you have "Halogeenverlichting" [its dutch; dont know the english word] then there are problems with the Wii. Quote
Polaris Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Halogen lighting? What effect could that have? Quote
Fletch Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Based upon previous launches, I was fully expecting a $230-250 price range for the first year or so with it going down to $175-200 for the Holiday 2007 season. Quote

Fletch Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Yeah, Nintendo isn't very creative with their pricing. They've launched the N64 and GC at the same price point and brought that price point down at pretty much the same intervals ($200 at holiday season, $179 at following E3). Give it three years and it will be $99. Quote
skdr Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 That's awesome news! Launch before Xmas? I really hope they can get it out before PS3. Quote
