kleinluka Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 I said that the medic (or whatever) shouldn't have made his checkup on the casualty in the middle of the road. He should have dragged the body to a safe place first. That has nothing to do with what the player ordered them to do... It's not that big of a deal but he did mention the authentic tactics quite many times and that's why the mistakes caught my attention. the AI making mistakes makes it authentic. people don't ever NOT make mistakes. mikezilla Posted June 17, 2004 Author Report Posted June 17, 2004 it wasn't a medic it a guy in the squad named Corrion. He was covered in the road because they had already elimated the threat on it, so he went to check the body real fast full knowing he had to leave it. It's not totally uncommon to do this. Dragging the body would take time and is far more likely to get him killed them simply checking it. Quote
GrayFox Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 But those mistakes were the kind that only A.I. would do... And I said "medic (or whatever he is)". There was no way they could know if they were safe and they weren't. There were multiple enemies left for example in the building (shooting through the windows). Quote
mikezilla Posted June 17, 2004 Author Report Posted June 17, 2004 which is why he wouldn't grab a body and drag it 20 feet... Quote

ctswin Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 Were you in the army in WW2 then, GrayFox? Quote
GrayFox Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 LOL, so that answers my question in my first reply to this thread then: "...were they just stupid during WWII?" Quote
Pericolos0 Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 this is the only true 100% authentic ww2 game becos its made by real war veterans, didnt u know grayfox? whatever you say, you're wrong Quote
GrayFox Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 ok, sure, whatever... I'm just saying it isn't perfect and you all know it, so stop treating it like it is.... Quote
ctswin Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 stupid to you perhaps, but remember this is 60 years ago and even military tactics have changed since then Quote
KidDynamite Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 so stop treating it like every single person in the army is perfect then because they aren't, soldiers are only human, and humans make mistakes... deal. Quote
GrayFox Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 Ok, maybe you're right... from now on when I play games like wolfenstein 3D and see the enemy soldiers acting idiotically, I'll just remember that humans are stupid and make mistakes. Finally I got an explanation... Quote
