Spellbinder Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Cool! As i know nothing about modeling don't take my crit to seriously, but i thought there is lots of triangles on the head. Can't something be done about that? Like smoth it out some how? Anyways i like it alot. Spellbinder. Quote
csharp Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 i like it, it reminds me about those 1980 scifi ppl Quote
The Postman Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Not too bad! Sub-divide more though, you'll get far better detail. Quote
von*ferret Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 hide other sections and subdivide more to get finer details. Do it right and you can pull off pores on the skin and really small wrinkles. Quote
I3yG-MaK Posted May 12, 2006 Author Report Posted May 12, 2006 What the fuck 130 views and 6 coments???... EOT is fucking killing this comunity. I will post my wips on cgtalk Quote
von*ferret Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 do you have the low rendering mode on? Cause its not very smooth and the AA is off. I'll post my critique after dinner. Dont run to cgtalk We can be helpful hopefuly however hard it hurts! Quote
The Postman Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 What the fuck 130 views and 6 coments???... EOT is fucking killing this comunity. I will post my wips on cgtalk What the fuck does EOT have to do with this? Christ. Anyhow, comments: Looking good so far, but bring more detail into the horns and the structures of the ear. Take care to make sure that there are eyelids, right now they're kind of there but very muted. Again, looking good! Z-brush can be a blast We can be helpful hopefuly however hard it hurts! How horribly harmonious! Quote
Skjalg Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I can account for maybe 5 of those views. The problem is that 90% of this community isnt modelers... I think Quote
von*ferret Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 your ears lips and eyelids are holding it back. If you could add more detail into those areas you'd be good. Forinstance the ears need to go in and curve up. Small things like that would help push your model. The lips look off. Maybe add more of a crease? Like postman said, your eyelids have no definition. A better render would help though. and EOT should die, its bringing the wrong kind of attitude. Mapcore is more of a place just to show work then get solid feedback. Maybe EOT isn't the problem, but it doesn't help. Quote
I3yG-MaK Posted May 13, 2006 Author Report Posted May 13, 2006 thanks for comments, I did not say that eot have to be erradicated, cause i like eot, as a 20% of the total web, not the 90% just right now, cause everyone here visit eot and dont check the other forums, only visit the web to make some lol's or some lmao's and maybe any Rofl. Its only my opinion, sorry for my english Quote
nico Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 try to outline wrinkles and stuff, not just go all amok with that fish-like scale thingy you got going on over his eyes. Make sure you can see where skin would normally curl up and make a wrinkle/fold. Define muscles better. His ear looks pretty abnormal, try to make a normal human ear, then make it pointy. it is too high up too i think. Try making the cheeck stand out more when viewed from the side. And btw, if people do not comment on your thread, its most likely because what you are showing is rather ok. Not too bad, and not too good. If it was totally horrible, i think people here would let you know! Anyways, there is no reason you cannot be on both mapcore and cgtalk. The more comments you can get, that better. Quote
