Polaris Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Not a big Halo fan, actually I'm not one at all but this is interesting: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/e306/e306- ... 172564.php Quote
Erratic Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 I think it was already officialy revealed that Halo 3 would be at E3 in some form. Quote
Polaris Posted May 9, 2006 Author Report Posted May 9, 2006 Maybe, but I just find it interesting that these kinds of things occur :/ Quote
Mazy Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Saw the trailer....totally awesome! Best trailer I've seen so far this year, but I didnt get to see much of Microsofts conference so hmmh ~ Quote
mabufo Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Halo/2 are the two most overrated games I've ever played. Quote
Erratic Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Saw the trailer....totally awesome! Best trailer I've seen so far this year, but I didnt get to see much of Microsofts conference so hmmh ~ It was a nicely put together little package, although a bit underwhelming when compared to Halo 2's debut at E3. Then again, H2 was a little further along I suppose... Halo/2 are the two most overrated games I've ever played. Halo isn't I don't think. If you ever go through the game on Legendary alone or with a buddy I think you'd find yourself in a hard position argueing it isn't a great game. Halo 2 maybe didn't quite surpass it, but it was still good, with a great online portion. Quote
hydeph Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 It definately looks cool but I was never a big fan. I had an Xbox and I didn't have Halo or Halo 2. Quote
ReNo Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Wow, I think that makes you unique Hydeph Wouldn't surprise me if they had sold more copies of Halo or Halo 2 than there are Xboxes I really enjoyed both Halo games, particularly due to the lovely recharging armour system that encouraged you to keep going after just making it through an area rather than quick loading to do it again with the benefit of hindsight (or should that be foresight ) in the hope of retaining more health. It also really encouraged retreating for cover while your shield was down, and making crazy advances while it was up since you knew it would regenerate anyway. I can't compliment their approach the health enough really, it has a really profound effect on the gameplay. Not sure if I prefer the Halo 1 or Halo 2 system though, given they had slight differences. Quote
KungFuSquirrel Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Saw the trailer....totally awesome! Best trailer I've seen so far this year, but I didnt get to see much of Microsofts conference so hmmh ~ Yeah, great presentation. All a teaser should be. I'll be damned if I didn't get chills the second the main Halo theme kicked in, even if the rest of the music was kinda odd. Quote

Fletch Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Halo 3 will: a) have repetitive gameplay b) have a shitty ending c) have a ridiculously unbalanced laser sword in DM play d) still sell really well e) all of the above Quote

Erratic Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 A hard difficulty level doesn't make a game good. So I think there is a flaw in your logic. Well, if at a higher difficulty level the AI reacts differently and is self perserving and challenges you even further then...Yes, it does improve a game. It's just that generally games opt for simply increasing hit points/accuracy on enemies. Quote

Haha yeah, exactly ;D~ Anyway Im not a big Halo fan, but I enjoy good stuff when I see it, and their trailer was awesome. Quote
