Polaris Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Ok for some reason I have been looking for level editors to games that normally wouldn't have one. I guess I'm just facinated by any kind of game customization. So far: Lunar Magic (Super Mario World): http://fusoya.panicus.org/lm/ Jazz Creation Station (Jazz Jackrabbit 2): http://www.jazz2online.com/J2Ov2/node.p ... e=jcsIndex Can you guys think of any others? Tailgunner Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Some editors for GTA1 i used j25 a long time ago =9 The first editor i ever learned http://www.gouranga.com/nf-downloads-editors.htm Quote
Pericolos0 Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 i remember a custom starcraft editor that allowed you to change character faces and sounds, allowing you to create unique hero units etc. Thqt editor also let you put floor and wall turrets in tilesets that normally wouldnt support them.. was awesome what you could do with it I believe it was also possible to make completely new units by importing new sprites etc Quote
Tequila Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Some editors for GTA1 i used j25 a long time ago =9 The first editor i ever learned http://www.gouranga.com/nf-downloads-editors.htm Yeah, I played with editing GTA1 a long time ago. It was fun, but ridiculously buggy and user-unfriendly, as you'd expect. Quote
TomWithTheWeather Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 This is what got me started with level design. http://www.wolfenstein3d.co.uk/levels-objwalls.htm Quote
Mazy Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 This is what got me started with level design. http://www.wolfenstein3d.co.uk/levels-objwalls.htm FUCK YEAH! I did that too (back in 1994 think, think I got if off a PC Review floppy ). I just remember it as being even more notepad'ish First editor that really got me started seriously though was the one for Thief, was pretty sweet stuff Quote
Fletch Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Couldn't find any pictures, but the Worms 2 option editor was my start (and probably Mikey's). Our #1 ranked Worms 2 clan (DuFF) were the inventors of many Worms 2 "mods" including mine tennis, jackhammer javelin, sheep racing, rope racing, and the grand daddy of them all: fort ball. Quote
zaphod Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 I think the first maps I ever edited were for red alert. sweet sweet fields of tundra, rocky cliffs and rivers . . . and all the gems and ore that I want!!! muhahahaha! Quote
