ginsengavenger Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Double Fine. how the hell can i forget this you guys must not have read that psychonauts postmortem? Made it sound like a train wreck I'd love to work at Valve or Monolith even though I hate the rain. Infinity Ward? Neversoft? I don't wanna live in the Valley, not yet anyway. Blizzard? Irvine. D: I hear Montreal is a pretty awesome town but it snows there. I'm pretty happy where I am. Quote
Mazy Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Aye gin, Double Fine certainly has had its share of bad luck and trouble, but Tim Schafer = makes it all worth it. Its still a wonder to me how come Microsoft dropped their deal with Double Fine, if that had gone through maybe it wouldve sold as many copies as it deserved Quote
DudeTor Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 I'd give anything to work with Kojima Quote

Working with Tim Schafer would be wall-to-wall mad fun, even with the birthing pains and chaos of a new company's first title. Quote

kleinluka Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 This whole EA thing is totally blown out of proportion. EA isn't the only company making its employees work overtime for little or no compensation. Also, since the case has gone to court a lot of things at EA have drastically changed for the better.... Furyo Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Speaking of experience Klein? Just spent a 15 hours day this week myself Quote
FrieChamp Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 And that's from people who work at Ubisoft! Surprised? Quote
Bluestrike Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Valve, because I enjoy hammer that much Crytek, because they really impressed me with Farcry and I know sandbox (probebly forgot most of it by now again tho ) Mythic entertainment, because I like them even tough I'm not qualified since my 2d skills suck Quote
Furyo Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Not surprised, and not unhappy. Those hours were paid. But (I know that sounds tacky), paid or not, I would have done those hours regardless. Crunch time only feels like crunch time when you're not having fun with your colleagues, and we were. Note that my view on this may change after repeated days like this. That was a one time thing (so far that is) and I didn't mind it at all Quote
insta Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 I'd easily sell my soul to work at Valve. Hell, I'd sell it for a greencard Quote
