DigitalMedia Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 Digital Artist Management is currently assisting a high profile Los Angeles game development studio in their search for a solid designer for a new original Action Adventure franchise for the next generation consoles. This group already employs a solid design staff, but they are looking for a few more additions to ensure it remains second to none. This Los Angeles developer is located in a prime metropolitan area. They are committed to supplying its team with the best resources available as well as providing excellent salaries, bonuses, benefits and relocation assistance (if necessary). This designer will play a significant role in executing the vision of this next generation IP. DESIGNER/SCRIPTER GENERAL REQUIREMENTS • 3+ Years game industry or related design experience • 1-2 years of general scripting experience • Use proprietary scripting language tools to implement level specific game-play • Implementing game logic as directed by level design documents and design staff • Delivering script routines and game logic that can be utilized by the design staff • Working with programming staff to incorporate game-play features and script tool enhancements • Scripting and balancing experience across multiple game genres • Ability to completely define and clearly document core game mechanics, logic, level design, and player scenarios • Develop skills to produce competitive and technically superior code systems by: • Communicating with experienced staff on the team to learn techniques and/or design philosophies • Working with existing code systems and learning how and why they have been developed • Provide technical support to design staff on game logic and script coding practices • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Previous game development experience desired If you are interested in this position, please submit your resume in Word format to: Candace Walker Candace@digitalartistmanagement.com Quote
