dissonance Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 I'll stick to good ole PC gaming like I always have Quote
Izuno Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 A good theory, Izuno, but I really dont think Sony is that smart. At one point Sony did say they thought PS3 should be a premium console demanding a premuim price...so that's partly where I'm thinking from. Sony is a strange company. When they commit to serving the customer and offering a way to play great content...it works (Sony Walkman, PS1 / PS2) When they make crazy strategic allience decisions and "market cornering" decisions (Betamax, UMD...Blueray???) they tend to blow it. Where will the PS3 fall? The content will be the judge, as I and many have said. Games games and good games and fun stuff to do with the damn thing will decide it's fate. Quote

Minos Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 if it costs that much in Europe it will cost around US$ 1500 here Quote
Hipshot Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 I _will_ buy a revolution, that is the only console that I consider a suplement to the PC, since it's backwards compatibility, better games and better price and ofc, a much better design. Quote
ReNo Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 ...better games... Think you're jumping the gun a little on that statement I've no doubt there will be great games for the Revolution, but saying it has better games when we've yet to hear about ANY of them strikes me as pure fanboyism. Quote
Hipshot Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 Nah, I like Zelda and Mario-Kart much more than the regular standard Third Person action game that I can play at 360 and PS3 (and all the FPS I can play at a PC, much better also, same with MMOs, RTS, etc), Metal Gear isn't worth a $600 console I think. And, also, Dice will have PS3s later, so I can play that on the big screen at work. The design of the revolution looks just so damn slick, I so much want that. I know, that sucks, but I like the design more than having a PS3 for free... A red-rev, man, that IS hot... sometimes I think I like red just a bit to much... Quote
ReNo Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 I've gotta agree with you on the design front - I'd have a Revolution sitting out in my living room over that monstrosity of design that is the PS3 any day. That said, I'll almost certainly end up with all 3 of them sat out in my living room, making my point a little redundant I can appreciate your love of Nintendo games - hell I'd rather have a new Zelda or Mario Kart than most games too - but it just struck me as a bit premature to be saying the Revolution has better games when we don't know of any yet. Then again, since when has Nintendo really let us down with first party franchises? Quote
