Hey everybody,

I finally did it: de_corse in its final status. This version contains a 150MB bsp file which includes all custom content.

Custom content is made for this level only. If someone wants to use my models or textures he should ask me for my permission!

To help me with this release I could still need some mirrors. If you want to support me, drop me a message (email: badman@gmx.li) with the download url and I will add it to my download list.

holidays ;) well in the next week i will visit my sister aka "schwessi" in Freiburg in the black forrest. time to take some images of german villages ;)

I don't play CSS so I wouldn't know how well it plays, but for the sheer effort of making everything custom, I must hand it out to you, this is art wise in the top 3 ever, of all games I've seen or played.

When i saw the thumnnails on the dl site i first thought you had made those changes. Those desaturated pictures looked awesome, I wished your map would have looked like them :). Well, it looks good as it is too. Now I will play cs for the first time in a loong time.

You should have compressed your vtf files abit more ;)

But it looks nice, maybe I should find out how it plays.

Yeah seems a bit high D:

How exactly did you compile your textures? Cause if you use Photoshop and save them as a .vtf rather than using the vtex.exe to convert them to .vtf you're nearly trippling the size of the one .vtf

well i actually did use vtex.exe because i know of the crappyness of this photoshopplugin. 512² textures are nearly 170kb. and the zipped downloadsize is just 4 MB above the beta. this is because i added several models and textures. whats the deal?

      One of the projects I worked on after I made de_austria.

      Yeah, I know the timing is really bad (CS2!), but can't change it... 🙁

      In general a lot went wrong during this project. Had a lot of problems with the layout, but I think I found a good compromise in the end. Also learned many new things. Maybe I would even be ready to create a really good map now after all, but I think that it's gonna be the final one. I really like making maps, but it has become too time consuming over the years for just being a hobby. Unfortunately I never managed to get a job in the games industry. So that's it. I hope it's a worthy ending of 20 years of making maps for me. 🙂

      Shore is a bomb defusal map for CS:GO that takes place on Lofoten Islands, Norway. (Also have a Hostage version of this that works well imo)
