Quakis Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 The System Episode The System Episode is a 9 Level episode for Duke3D using the new limitations using JonoF Port/Eduke32. The amount of levels could decrease or most likely increase as time goes on but we'll see. The story is currently in progress but the levels have a good level of progression in each - especially since I abandon a lot of my projects - but not this one. Im hoping for the episode to play like Doom3/HL as you explore each area of the base through levels and learn more to the story. (Like a few other Duke3D levels released like the Red Series by Merlijn van Oostrum or Another Big Base Attacked by Maarten van Oostrum) Other content might be added to the episode such as a few new enemies but I've still got to learn how to AI code for Eduke32. Squirrelly Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 That's Duke3D? At first glance I thought it was Half-Life. Very nice work. Quote
RD Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 yeah duke3d could look surprisingly amazing Quote
mike-0 Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 congrats on making the best looking d3 map Quote
Pericolos0 Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 this brings back memories :´) a w e s o m e Maybe you should take some screenshots with the hi-res pack Quote
TomWithTheWeather Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 I saw your first two screens and was thinking, "did you forget to compile lighting in your HL1 maps"? Look's great though. I haven't play Duke in forever. Quote
Zacker Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Looks oldschool cool:) The low res 8bit textures are still annoying though, but not much you can do about it. Quote
Quakis Posted March 20, 2006 Author Report Posted March 20, 2006 Maybe you should take some screenshots with the hi-res pack The HighRes pack doesn't look too good in certain areas in my opinion, but i got two shots anyway as you requested. I think it's best played in Classic as its mor atmospheric. Quote
Quakis Posted June 11, 2006 Author Report Posted June 11, 2006 Haven't updated in a while. Even though these shots are a few months old, it's better than nothing. Project isn't dead, just put on hold for some time because I have a modifacation to put most of my effort and dedication to first. And I am also doing some other plans with the episode.
