Canuck Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 DREAMSCAPE : PIN POINT BLANK The Dreamscape mod is a third person stealth game for Half-Life 2. We have been working on this mod for just over 7 months. If you want more information about the mod, visit our moddb profile: http://www.dreamscapemod.com But anyway, the reason I am posting here is because we are looking for a texture artist. We have recently implemented Relief mapping and we are hoping to find someone who has some skill in creating good normal maps and height maps as well as texture maps. Texture Artist [*:10g2nsux] Should provide samples. [*:10g2nsux] Experience in creating textures for Source would be great, but not required. Furry grass: Please send samples to canuck@dreamscapemod.com if you are interested. Visit our site at www.dreamscapemod.com Discuss the mod here if you would like.
FrieChamp Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Looks interesting, but you guys should revise your HUD. From a design point of view the screen is unnecessarily clustered.
Pericolos0 Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 its pretty impressive you managed to code in parallax mapping , seems you can do more with the sdk than i thought. How well does it run?
JynxDaddy Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Good luck with the mod, it looks very interesting. I agree with frie on the hud, less is more~
Grinwhrl Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 looking good, i rememeber when your first started this mod up. Good work on the progress so far, love 3rd person look I hope you find a good texture artist.
ReNo Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Wow, best looking third person mod I've seen in a long time...probably ever. From the stills it looks like that is a cool sneaking around animation Reminds me a lot of Headhunter Redemption, mostly due to the character poses, camera, and somewhat hazy quality that the screenshots have. Dunno if thats how things look in game or if it is a screenshot thing, but it looks good. I'm not a fan of the HUD though - too prominant and eye catching, it isn't so much "there when you want it" visually, but "LOOK AT ME I'M OVER HERE!" Oh yeah, and I'm not texture artist unfortunately, but if I was I'd be very interested. So, err, sorry. Best of luck!
RD Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 i hope to god you have played resident evil4 and try to make the 3rd person like that
