von*ferret Posted January 29, 2006 Report Posted January 29, 2006 I went back to take screenshots of my old unreal level and my terrain is not showing up. It has a texture/alpha assigned to all layers. Its not chosen to be turned off in the properties, and I know its there because if I go to the manipulate terrain height tools I my cursur wraps around the already sculpted terrain. Any ideas?
FrieChamp Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 Uuuh it's been years that I touched UnrealEd but this problem sounds familiar, maybe try "Rebuild all" ?
Hourences Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 Missing alpha layers or heightmaps, you saved them outside MyLevel Or Missing terraintextures Didnt you got a warning when you opened it ? Check the log Check all other settings Try to paint parts again
von*ferret Posted January 30, 2006 Author Report Posted January 30, 2006 I think that the deco layer had an effect on it. So I'm gonna try that later on. Thx for the help though!
Bl1tz Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Try doing a Build -> Rebuild Geometry if you haven't already tried it.
von*ferret Posted February 1, 2006 Author Report Posted February 1, 2006 nah its the deco layer. Messed up alpha or model or something and it doens't display any of the faces.
Hourences Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Is the apha in mylevel ? Prolly not or has a duplicate name.
von*ferret Posted February 2, 2006 Author Report Posted February 2, 2006 I think the alpha got changed, or it can't find the mesh. I honestly havn't been able to get aroudn to looking at it, but I had a similar thing happen to my current project when i was messing with deco layers, so that is why I'm assuming it can't find the mesh and therefore doesn't feel like rendering the terrain.
