An unknown object (not an asteriod because it didn't cause enough damage) hits an island in the Pacific, and the North Koreans send their army to investigate the issue, and so does China and the US sends two carriers there as well. The tensions between the NK and US are close to a war, so the US starts a CovertOp and sends in Jake Dunn (our character) and a small team to infiltrate and investigate the situation on the island.

It's the first game that uses "DX10" and shader model 4 :-D

Looks awesome!

God that looks so mediocre. Looks like someone re-hashed Far-Cry and shat this out. Boring character, re-hashed setting, forced use of current political figures for no reason. Barf. I wouldn't play this game.

Another case of graphics taking the place of real gameplay. Fuck graphics-card bundle FPS games, they're killing the PC game industry.

ehh... how can you already complain about the gameplay when you have not seen anything from it. And the story doesn't seem that bad... a mysterious object crashed at a remote island + international intrigue, it could turn out interesting

I do agree with you on the graphics pushing though, but it's just another way of marketing your game... and this game will propbably sell like butter with these kind of graphics. I cant disagree with it.

FarCry wasn't just about graphics. It was also about long range gameplay, non-linear level-design and advanced AI. There is no reason to believe Crytek will drop these aspects and just push visuals from now on forward. The game will have multiple features which have not been seen in a game before, and I am not talking about soft particles or any other graphic related things, mark my words.

Oh, and I am looking forward to the next metal corridor railway shooter from Texas!

ROUND 1; FIGHT!

No seriously, you guys should be adult enough, and good examples for us non industry pros who might want to be that one day. "My dad is stronger than your dad" style discussions won't work.

Hey I said something serious outside politics.
