Pretty much everybody refers to "multiplayer" as, well, "multiplayer". That's just how it is, with any other rendition hardly ever used. But what about the word's solitary cousin? It's used in so many different ways around the web (just Google them to see) that any degree of consistency is difficult to retain.

So, let's see what the Mapcore feeling is on this word. Which would you and do you use?

PS: I am aware that multi is technically a prefix, however in most situations a hyphen (-) is used between it and the word which follows. However, due to such common use the hyphen has ended up omitted by most people when it precedes "player". Should the single variety follow the same route?

I usually write Singleplayer, but the correct grammar would be Single Player, right?

Btw, I don't like the hyphen, I try to avoid it as much as possible, looks bad. Like you don't know if you are supposed to put the words together or not.

I think this is again, matter of English, and American english.

Both single player and single-player are right, but the other hyphens it and the other just sticks with the space.

But originally, I think single-player is the correct antonym for multiplayer.
