RD Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 I just played it for a while, i dont think it will get very popular. Quote
skdr Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 I think its fun to play, just like old militia. Quote
General Vivi Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 oh snap the new militia made my computer specs go out the window pentium 4 , 3.0 ghz ht 512 ram 9800 pro ati i had less the 40 fps the entire game . and when i met someone in the hall way or out in the river area my game almost paused rendering me helpless to fight back. Grin Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 I like it, it looks excellent, would I even say better than inferno, as it isn't so messy. The house is fine, the roof windows are fine, everythings fine, except for that extra manhole to the sewer, that totally destroys it IMO, now terrorists can rush from the front yard and attack the Ct's from behind, me likes not. Bic-B@ll Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 is there still an explodeable turd in the toilet? if there isn't, the map isn't militia wow ive never met a person so infantile, so immature. the game isnt made on things like this, its made on gameplay and fun and strategy. ...yeah its there, i checked sorry, i guess it's the first time someone has kidded around on these forums Quote
Tequila Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 It doesn't explode any more though. Quote
OrnateBaboon Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 Looks amazing! Very organic, and has a real world feeling to it. Seems a bit more balanced now as well. Bluestrike, maybe people don't like inferno because their machines can't handle it or something. I know that blowing up lots of the plant pots with a grenade can cause lots of lag on my PC. I wonder if any more of the old maps will get converted. I would prefer to see new maps myself, provided they play well of course. If a playable community map comes along, it would be good if Valve took it on, added eye candy, and then made it official. de_russkia for example, a new CPL map looks really poor, but plays very well. Bic-B@ll Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 im going to have to second what generalvivi said, my computer had the shit kicked out of it also, i only played about 2 minutes worth on the map because of it. i thoght it was the shader causing it, but even when disabled it ran like shit. i wish that the trees were enhanced to block out some of the view to the house, it blows really hard that as soon as you walk out as a ct there are 4 terrorists with awps shooting at you. That's the exact point of CPL maps. They're supposed to look like ass. That way nobody can complain the map is lagging them or their computer can't run it. CPL maps aren't supposed to look pretty.
