Vinny Testaverde Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 --- 3dsmax 6 - sky, boats, flora, etc added in photoshop This was for a school project... Thanks to Thomas Cole (19th century landscape painter) for the inspiration I am not happy with it, I will do another one with a different camera angle and position and time of day, but this shot of it is done I guess... Let me know if you have some ideas as to how to change the perspective etc, your ideas will help alot... ... maybe some day this would make a sick game level  Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 nice, i think the biggest problem is that the bridge is perfect, the curves are exacty rounded, it just looks fake. that and everything that's tan is exactly the same color btw, where do you go to school? Quote

KoKo5oVaR Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 The lighting is maybe a bit dark for outdoor (but it's can be my screen here at uni) and the mountains on the far left seem too soft on their geometry. But yeah, really cool work Quote
RD Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 awesum Not perfect, but the atmosphere is awesum Quote
Steppenwolf Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 It looks nice. But i dont like the lighting/colors. There is so much greytones in the light. It needs some warm yellowish shining highlights. Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 im watching rome: engineering an empire on the history channel and its rel cool, would be grat for inspiration. it would be real neat if you built an aqueduct off in the distance Quote
misterbister Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 The thing that I like most is like the lighting but... Where are the people? Quote
teeluu Posted January 3, 2006 Report Posted January 3, 2006 Cool stuff, i'd really like to know what's behind all these cool lightings since i'm modeling my own room, well.. at least i try. Anyway nice job, few places looks somehow too clean or linear, dunno. Quote
