Argyll
2 days ago: I notice the website/store I plan on ordering my Canon EOS 20D from has it on sale until the 30th. Yesterday: I desperately call my dad (who has a credit card), since he's out of town, getting the CC info. I get into contact with the store and order it -- they ship it overnight delivery that very day. Today - 10:15am: It arrives. I am now the proud owner of a Canon EOS 20D digital SLR I also ordered the 85mm f/1.8 USM lens instead of getting the shitty kit lens. I also have an old 50mm f/1.8 lens from around 1987. Luckily, we just had a nice snowfall yesterday and it has been quite foggy. So, of course I wandered out today and here's a few shots (all from the 50mm): Shot in RAW and post-processed a wee bit (white and colour balance, curves, etc). Argyll
And the day wraps up with some women's university basketball: 1. mmmm sharp... 2. Unfortunately the subject is out of focus because it's at f/2.0... but at least it's a good moment captured. Tomorrow I plan on getting up early (HA!) and taking pics of the sunrise... then it's more basketball at 10am and 12pm. Then it's hogmanay celebrations...
