Bic-B@ll Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 I started a little Mapcore Wikipedia thing, I thought it would be neat to have. You guys will need to register to edit it (I think), but it's painless. Please add lots of stuff into it. (edit this page link at the top or the ones on the right side) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mapcore use [[Half-Life]] to link to other wikipedia pages to link to websites: [http] to create a new subject == Subject == Quote
JynxDaddy Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 I'd like to see this fleshed out into a full article. No sillyness Quote
Jezpuh Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 I cleaned things up a bit, added the logo, removed the "add stuff" things (as that's what Wikipedia doesn't like to see in articles), and copied the about page. Quote
Spellbinder Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 GJ! I like this ALOT! Spellbinder. Quote
TomWithTheWeather Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 I'd rephrase this sentence a little dirfferently: "Today Mapcore is a group of people, both amateur and professionals who share the same passion of game design and development on all platforms and engines. Through this web presence and our irc channel, our aim is to provide a community for developers to socialize, learn, teach, and draw talent from." to "Today, Mapcore is a group of people, both amateur and professionals who share the same passion of game design and development on all platforms and engines. Through this web presence and the irc channel, Mapcore's aim is to provide a community for developers to socialize, learn, teach, and draw talent from." Just sounded too advertizy. Quote
Izuno Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 Awesome! I love Wikis! Over the summer my main project had a wiki at the developer and man I loved using it. Now we just need to know what we'll use it for...maybe more good devs from the industry will stumble onto our little site. Oh I did a little more editing, Tom...just grammar. But i guess with a WIki we don't need to post of every little change. Quote

st0lve Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 Add some about EOT. Someone from the outside got to add it, if we do, no one will understand! Quote
mikezilla Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 Wow, that sentence about EOT is so ridiculous. I think I hate whoever did it just a little bit more than I used to. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted December 26, 2005 Report Posted December 26, 2005 haha i think i know who wrote it but yeah maybe it shouldn't be that ridiculous. the page could use a history topic imo, but i don't think i'm capable of writing that Quote
wacko Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 I would have to agree that the EOT is pretty retarded but I would not think it was a key part of Mapcores history... further more I would not link Postman to the EOT Retardation. I do think we need someone else to write that stuff... damn wiki's Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted December 27, 2005 Author Report Posted December 27, 2005 after reading the eot thing and seeing "Category: Pages needing expert attention" i laughed pretty hard *cough*mike you can see the ip address of the poster in the history tab*cough* Quote
st0lve Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 hey dont look at me, I just added that I was king, peris queen and that posty is our almighty controller of the EOT wonder. Or something. PS Posty is EOT, you cannot choke the truth to death, cause its still true. (hint, hate peris!) Quote
