He is trying hard to get Half-Life and MGS rights like Dude said.

please God, no.

Something tells me Valve and ...whoever makes MGS... should be smarterer than that to let him get the rights to some of the biggest bestest games everarr.

He's simply an untalented amateur who might have fun as hell while nonstop producing crap, but he's wasting valuable rights and soils german film-maker's reputation. He's a fucking idiot tbh.

I'm of two minds.

1) Uwe Boll is extremely good at getting money together to make and distribute video game movies as a viable form of cinema. This is good.

2) As a writer/director he's the most vile and awful force working in film today. This is bad.

So I think if he put his mind towards securing funds for talented writers and directors to make video game movies we could have the best of both worlds.

But really that probably won't happen.

I watched the trailer for Bloodrayne, and lo and behold it actually looks like a normal movie! I'm many steps from saying good, but it didn't look "OMFG WTF LOL!" from the trailer alone, and that's a step in the right direction for good old Mr.Boll!

Actually, there is a trick.

Movie industry isn't just something that produces movies all day long, it is actually venerable marketting force. When movie is done, no matter how bad it sucks ass, the army of poster makers, trailer editors and website monkeys put the movie out and project it to consumers minds.

As traditionally educated advertising graphic designer I understand things working background, and it is actually neat how these people make everything look so very cool.

I have learned not to trust what I see in trailers, posters or websites, as it is usually misleading.
