SixThree Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 I really like it, light colours look good. Quote
Grinwhrl Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 pretty cool, good use of color. Very clean look. Quote
von*ferret Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 i dont like how the blue is the emphasis and makes me look past the subject of the painting to a circle of blue. Quote
ginsengavenger Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 I really like it but I'm really not into the outright mirroring of the left/right elements. Quote
von*ferret Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 wow k nevermind, i just got to see the bigger picture (it didn't load at first for some reason) and the blue doesn't kill as much. Very nice indeed Quote
ginsengavenger Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 I think the best thing about this piece is the deliberate perspective on the two pillars on the left and the right, and more subtly in the altarpiece itself and the other verticals. They impart a real sense of perspective and *eminence* to the entire piece which works very well. Without that I think it would feel very flat, static and plastic. Quote
hamst3r Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 You know how to use illustrator. I'm so jealous; I love vector art with a passion so there is no way that I can't like this piece. gj. Quote
DaanO Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 I like it in general, but i don't like how some parts are obviously handpainted and other parts are photos turned into the same style. It itches for some reason. Other than that it looks nice and it's pretty close to those paintings as well Quote
