|FRITZ| Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Now stop whining, and be happy Valve are continuing to work on their editor to improve it.
kleinluka Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Killertomato you can stop acting immature now.
von*ferret Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 curb yourself mate, insulting people doesn't get you far.
⌐■_■ Posted December 1, 2005 Author Report Posted December 1, 2005 I still have an unanswered question: How do I succesfully rip models from the dod.gcf? I tried copying the materials and models folder to the hl2 folder, but then the skins don't show up (only some purple/black blocked skin). Somebody? I really want to know this.
h2 Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 I extracted the contents of models and materials in gcf to hl2mp(deathmatch) models and materials folders. Works fine.
⌐■_■ Posted December 1, 2005 Author Report Posted December 1, 2005 Hmm, thats really strange! Why wouldn't it work with hl2?
FrieChamp Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 First of all this thread gets moved into the engine discussion forum (since it's concerning an editing tool) and secondly these forums are not meant to be a place where to steam off your frustration (at least not when you jump into other people's faces). I recommend getting a blog. Now be merry and help each other.
skdr Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 Why are you extracting the stuff anyway? Source SDK supports DoD:Source without any extracting or whatnot. Or are you talking about old dod?
Dr.DK Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 I tried the beta, I couldn't even open existing map files, I refreshed the sdk content and now hammer 4.0 is running fine again.
johnm487 Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 killertomato, I don't really understand what your trying to do. try going here http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki ... y:Modeling maybe somthing there can help you if your dealing with models and materials.
mr.P Posted December 27, 2005 Report Posted December 27, 2005 I tried the beta, I couldn't even open existing map files, I refreshed the sdk content and now hammer 4.0 is running fine again. yeah i have the same problem, bunch of sp maps that just crash the editor... can you tell me how you did it? im a bit slow and lazy and you probably need to explain it like to a five year old ;DDD~~~~~~
