D3ads Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I just use the default XP one, I never look at it anyway... Quote
Spellbinder Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 Screensavers was used to not make the image burn into the monitor on old monitors. Its not happening anymore with new monitors aka screensavers are of no use no more. But that doesn't says you can't use one for fun or just to have something nice to look at while you are resting from the computer. And yes i have seen jhonny castaway aswell And why it still shuts off btw is because it is still set to default to shut off the monitor and can be changed. Its one of the first things i change when i have done a format couse i want my computer awailable at all time. Spellbinder. Quote
JynxDaddy Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 Having your monitor turn off saves power too. Quote
RD Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 Having your monitor turn off saves power too. it takes more energy to power up and turn off the monitor each time, than having it on all the time Quote
