rennes Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 new map will be released in the beginning of 2006, so be prepared for: cs_cabaret! Alex Royce, the designer of this map, has made cs_cabaret for a company named AEBN in North-Carolina(USA). It's a stripclub. He worked for about one month on it, the map is ready now, but he's waiting for permission of the owner from the building This is the result: Real pictures of the building So be prepared for this amazing map-release in januari 2006!!! (make a note in your diary) More interesting maps are: de_crookcounty DE_CrookCounty is massive in size. The unzipped .bsp file is 80mb in size, while the map is over 4 city blocks in size. Terrorists start inside the jail cells of the police station and manage to escape, while the Counter-Terrorists start off approximately 3 blocks away from Crook County PD. There's quite a lot of routes both teams can take, but ultimately the main objective of both teams is to reach either Ammunition (Site A) or the 5 story tenement building (Site B). The Terrorists can plant the bomb on any floor of the gun shop, and floors 2-5 of the tenement building which causes frustration as the CT's search room-to-room and floor-to-floor for the hidden bomb. Taylor Swift Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 Wow nice! well done Alex. But where is the dancing girls in cages for the bar? Quote
rennes Posted November 26, 2005 Author Report Posted November 26, 2005 I'm just a big fan of Alex and I want to give him some more attention for his awesome maps that he made for all the gamers at Half-Life 2 I guess the pictures were made on closing-time, so you have to check the company(map) when it's released, I guess the chicks will be there also! Greets, A fun-gamer from The Netherlands... yes, we have internet also, LOL Quote
curman Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 Uhh. That is .. a little weird. But the maps looks good I suppose never the less. Quote
Vinny Testaverde Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 I feel like the bar/dancing area should be darker? Quote
teeluu Posted November 27, 2005 Report Posted November 27, 2005 rennes, you're odd. Maybe he would've wanted to post that stuff himself? Oooor then you're just Alex who's praising himself with another nickname, because i wouldn't like it if someone would be posting my maps before doing it myself. Alex hasn't said a thing yet I like cs_cabaret, cs_deadcity feels too empty to me and de_crookcounty would need few trees to give some color to it imho. Quote
Section_Ei8ht Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 imho, none of those maps look too impressive. Sure they're not shit, but they're not gold, either. Quote
Grinwhrl Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 imho, none of those maps look too impressive. Sure they're not shit, but they're not gold, either. It appears he has great brushwork though. I really like the how he built the outside of the stripclub. Quote
Minos Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Yeah the brushwork is good. But the lighting could use some work here and there (specially on that basement heh) Quote
MJ Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 You should put the real pic screens next to the screens that the area represents in the map. oh yea where are the strippers? Quote
