What is your console game of the year for 2005?

Yeah, I know we have a PC game slant here, but a lot us play and work on console titles, too.

What is your favorite console game that came out in 2005, any system?

My personal vote has to go to Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. Just listen to the soundtrack, for one thing. Michael Gianchino made the game even better than it is. Best soundtrack to a game, or movie, ever.

Resident Evil 4 (Cube) wasnt released here until 2005, so I'll go with that. One of the very best games ever made imo

Hard one, I had that title reserved for Starcraft Ghost, but it gets the next years title.

But it's a close call between several games, Ninja Gaiden Black was propably the best game ever, Psychonauts reminded me why I loved games so much, Sid Meiers Pirates was just too good to be a game, it should have been a drug.

But it might just go to Ninja Gaiden, so very very awesome game.

Resident Evil 4 Is my pick as well. I also want to mention Shadow of the Colossus, although I haven't tried it. it looks awesome!

We Love Katamari - Incredible. Pure, unadulterated fun.

Didn't play the first one though; but it has radically changed the way I look at videogames.

I've a feeling it would be either Psychonauts of Shadow of Colossus, but considering NEITHER ARE OUT HERE I can't rightfully give it to either. It doesn't seem right to give it to Ninja Gaiden Black since its a re-release of last year's game with a few new bells and whistles, but I can see why others might, as it is an exceptional game. Resident Evil 4 is probably my pick off the top of my head.
