When will forum posters understand that when on a forum, you can take your time to answer to posts so you don't need to use stupid abbreviations like "ur" or "2" nor should you use acronyms and leet talk unless they are a joke.

shortening words were invented to be used in environment where speed is the essense like irc or online gaming. In a four or even five way conversation, you have to be quick to state your opinion if you want to have something to say about the ongoing subject and in the heat of the battle you must have hasty fingers to give your delightful insight to your team or the slick enemy.

To answer both of your posts, yes and congratulations.

It's not just the VGCats strip, but it's the whole thing that has been bothering me for a long time, the annoying use of above mentioned type of "talk" in forums.

But yeah, it is fucking annoying. I don't really mind when people do it on irc, but on a forum you have plenty of time to type out your message and you don't need to shorten things. It's annoying to read as well. I sometimes think these people just don't know any better. For example, my english class. Some people actually thought "you" could also be written as "u", and "you're" could also be written as "your". Then I punched them in the nuts

When I asked a few people why the hell the typed like that they said it's because it's cool. Uhh.
